For my capstone, I built LifeSkill, an application that combines the features of task lists with elements reminiscent of video games. My aim is to create and maintain an app that engages with the end-user to form habits in a fun way.
A Robinhood clone, Stock Savvy was built by a small team of engineers to allow users to view, watch, and trade stocks. Utilizing live stock data obtained from the 3rd party Financial Modeling Prep API ensures that users have up-to-date information on trends and prices.
Actively writing code and widening my knowledge base.
Eager software engineer who thinks that curiosity, combined with diligent practice over time is an excellent strategy for life.
With a professional background in management, I have most recently graduated from the App Academy full-stack web development program. As a former supervisor and Assistant General Manager, I learned the value of communication, how to efficiently cooperate with coworkers, and how to lead by example. Even before that, my sense of curiosity and hands-on nature have helped me get into hobbies such as woodworking and 3D printing. I was inspired to start my coding journey by my grandfather who was a lifelong learner and teacher of many subjects, coding included. My time at App Academy has helped me lay the foundation for a career in software development, including learning JavaScript and Python languages and several frameworks to create intuitive applications from front to back. I am excited to continue my journey by keeping up with industry trends and expanding my knowledge.
